Naturally wanting the best for children and adults, we are very selective in the staff that join our team and particularly look for people who are committed and dedicated and want to go that extra mile.
At Autism Social Care, we only employ staff who are experienced and skilled in working with/caring for individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism. All successful support staff are subjected to stringent vetting processes, in line with current legislations, including Enhanced CRB disclosures and previous employer references. We at, Autism Social Care understand how vital it is for individuals with Autism to gain trust from others. Our specialist support staff take a positive and empathetic view to disability and Autism, who highly encourage a safe and positive relationship. All efforts are made to provide consistent and continuous support workers, to help develop trust, friendship, independence and social skills.
Our valuable support workers hold good experience working with or caring for individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism conditions, including Aspergers. Specialist support workers hold a variety and wide range of qualifications and training within and including, the areas of; Autism, learning disabilities, care and education.
Generally, staff have experience and knowledge of delivering Autism Specific approaches, including; PECS, TEACCH and Managing Challenging Behaviour, and hold or are working towards gaining relevant Care Qualifications. Therefore, individual approaches to learning and communication, can be delivered within the community, to help children and adults to generalise skills learned at school, college or home, to an individuals community.
